We know so many of you are traveling long distances to celebrate our love, and we are so grateful for your precious time and energy! Here are our recommendations for how to get to us, and where to stay.
PS: You’ll want to rent a car as Joshua Tree isn’t well served by public transportation.
PSP is the closest and most convenient airport, only a 50 minute drive to the Castle House Estate. There are plenty of rental car options here, although because its a smaller airport there may be less options at higher costs. Palm Springs is also a super fun place to spend a day or two if you have the time!
The San Diego Airport is 2 hours and 45 minutes from the Castle House Estate. You'll arrive in beautiful San Diego, where Ashlee & Avery will be happy to help you find hotels or accommodate you at their home before heading to Joshua Tree for the weekend. As most guests will be traveling from San Diego, if you'd like to carpool this is your best option, and there are plenty of car rentals available at the airport.
The Los Angeles Airport is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from the Castle House Estate, however this can change at any moment due to traffic. We do not recommend this route unless you are familiar with Los Angeles or want to spend some time in LA before or after the event.
This is our top suggestion for your stay. Joshua Tree is known for the eclectic homes that have been renovated and decorated by artists from all over. It isn't unusual to find an airbnb with art structures in the backyard, or even a home shaped like a UFO! Have fun browsing AirBnB and VRBO to find a home that suits your style for the weekend! Let us know if you need recommendations!
Joshua Tree Inn is a quaint site full of musical and film history. The Rolling Stones, Graham Parsons, and John Wayne all were patrons of the JTree Inn over the years. Let us know if you book here!
We invite you to stay on-site with us at Castle House Estate! We have a small number of Glamping Tents available for a true festival-style wedding, and you're welcome to bring your own camping set up or RV! For more informatioin and to reserve yours please contact Ashlee or Avery directly to organize.
We chose Joshua Tree as the location for our destination wedding because it holds deep meaning for both of us. Its a place of openness, self-expression, and community that we want to share with our guests from the East and Gulf Coasts. It also hold deep American entertainment history, a location where Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, and Clint Eastwood shot some of their first films.
This desert oasis is not only a haven for artists and musicians but also a sacred place for stargazing and spiritual energy. We are excited to celebrate our love amidst the captivating landscapes and celestial wonders of Joshua Tree, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
